After many days of clouds and cold temperatures, a little touch of Spring is in the forecast through the week ahead. A warm front swept away the cold air Friday afternoon, bringing the warmest temperatures is about a week to San Antonio.

The overall picture is still somewhat unstable. Deep moisture resides over the region and the upper level winds are from the southwest – a setup that will likely produce light rain and a few showers overnight into Saturday morning. Temperatures will hold steady in the low 60s with drizzle and fog forming overnight.

Midday Saturday, a Pacific-origin cold front will sweep across the I-35 corridor with a few thunderstorms and winds turning to the west. This will usher in much drier – but only slightly cooler – air into South Texas. With skies clearing somewhat late Saturday, most areas should reach the middle and upper 70s.

Partly cloudy and cool into Sunday morning with lows in the low 50s, but sunshine for Sunday afternoon with highs in the middle 70s.

Chance of rain returns Tuesday. See the details in the Seven Day Forecast.
