We had very active weather across Texas and many of us saw torrential rain, lightning, and strong winds.

What You Need To Know

  • Hydroplaning is possible and can happen in one-twelfth of an inch of rain

  • Remain indoors and away from windows when there is lightning

  • Heavy rain caused a few areas to flood in Texas

Severe Thunderstorm Watches and Warnings were across West Texas, and many of our viewers captured footage, safely.

As you can see in this tweet, there was a good deal of dangerous lightning strikes in Dallas.

Even in Carrollton, the rain was heavy, and the storms were strong.

Heavy rain drenched the interstate which caused hazardous driving conditions.

Always remember when driving in the rain you should turn on your headlights and not your high beams. Slow down and be extra cautious when trying to merge lanes and turn off your cruise control.

Hydroplaning is possible and can happen in one-twelfth of an inch of rain, so take precaution.

Saturday we will not be under a threat for severe, but always remain weather aware.
