UPDATE: The victim was identified as Viviana Sanchez, 43.

The suspect was identified as Manuel Jesus Vega, 40. Vega is in custody and has been charged with murder in the first degree and kidnapping.

He is being held at the Hernando County Detention Center on a no bond status.

The investigation revealed that Sanchez and Vega have been involved in ongoing domestic violence issues (in Pasco County) since at least May of this year.

At that time, a Pasco County judge issued a no contact order between Vega and Sanchez after Vega was arrested for Domestic Battery by Strangulation (on Sanchez).  Vega had since bonded out of jail and was due in court on July 29 for arraignment.  It is unknown if the two were still residing together or having regular contact.

SPRING HILL, Fla. — On Monday morning, the Hernando County Sheriff's Office is looking into a suspicious death in Spring Hill.

• Dollar Tree on County Line Road taped off
• Deputies say there is no threat to the community

The investigation is at the Dollar Tree on County Line Road.

Deputies are being tight lipped now, however, the Dollar Tree location remains taped off.

According to a news release, the Hernando County Sheriff's Office stated that it is conducting a death investigation on this property since late Sunday night.

It is unclear where on the property this happened – and what exactly investigators have found.

According to the Sheriff's Office, there is no threat to the community at this time.
