A pedestrian was killed overnight in St. Petersburg in a hit-and-run crash.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 25th Street North and 54th Avenue North.
Officials said the male pedestrian was struck by two vehicles. The first vehicle left the scene but the second vehicle stayed at the scene.
Troopers are searching for a red or gold SUV that left the scene similar to a Ford Edge in connection to the accident.
Authorities have not released any further information about the crash or the victim.
