One person was killed early Tuesday in a single-vehicle crash in east Tampa.

According to Tampa police, the crash happened in the 4200 block of east Chelsea Street just before 1 a.m.
Officers said a silver Mercedes-Benz was traveling westbound on East Chelsea Street when the driver lost control of the vehicle.
The car went off the road and crashed into a tree, killing the driver.
The driver, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was killed. Police identified him as B. Booker, 34.
The crash remains under investigation.
