LAND O’ LAKES, Fla. — The Pasco County School District is scaling back its 10:10 start time when the new school year begins.

The school board voted to reduce the number of campuses that will begin classes at that time to six elementary and four alternative schools.

That's down from 24 that shifted times in January.

School officials say they will continue to find ways to cut down the number of campuses with the late starts.

The district came up with this solution to cut back on students arriving late to school, because of the bus driver shortage.
