SPENCER, N.C. -- If the pirate life is for you, then the Traveling Blackbeard exhibit at the North Carolina Transportation Museum is something you must see!

Visitors can see artifacts from the wreckage of Blackbeard’s infamous flagship, the Queen Anne’s Revenge.

From pottery, to ceramic pipes, to tools, and even belt buckles, the exhibit gives you a real look into what was used on the vessel when it ran aground 300 years ago.

“These are real things that were a part of the daily lives of these legendary figures,” says Mark Brown.  “It allows you to connect with it more than just reading it in a book or seeing it on a screen.”

This Saturday, the museum will be hosting a pirate day with sword fighting demonstrations and experts on hand to teach about pirateering.

The exhibit will be in Spencer until February 26th.
