WORCESTER COUNTY, Mass. - The Massachusetts State Police will conduct a Sobriety Checkpoint this weekend in Worcester County.

The checkpoint will be operated during varied hours beginning Friday evening, April 16 to Saturday morning, April 17.

According to State Police, the purpose of the checkpoints is the help educate the public on the need of detecting and removing motor vehicle operators under the influence of alcohol and drugs from roadways. The checkpoint is funded through a grant from the Highway Safety Division of the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety and Security.
